We spent the morning around the house -- inside and out. We attended morning circle. More about that another time. Then, we took a walk in our backyard where we found a sandbox, a swing set, and a secret garden.
The sandbox has been neglected but it wouldn't take much to fix it up. I think I'll ask Bill and his 'workshop' to make it a project. More about workshops another time but basically it's any time a co-worker and students work together on a project.
I was in the kitchen workshop this morning preparing lunch for my house. Lunch for 18. Imelda, the housekeeper, did most of the work but Ella and I helped a bit. I thought it would be hard to juggle the students, cooking, and my own kids in the kitchen but it worked out pretty well.
When Ella and Dylan got a little bored in the kitchen, they wandered around and found plenty of interesting things to play with -- a lyre, piano, kitchen scale.

Dylan and yet another stick...
